The Ergotherapy, through guided activities, aims to the development and improvement of the productive activities, of children and adults.
At the Ergotherapy Department, special training programs are evaluated, designed and implemented, for the functional occupation of people presenting diminished functionality due to:
- Vascular Strokes
- Cranial brain injuries
- Cerebral paralysis
- Autoimmune conditions (Multiple sclerosis, Guillain-bare etc.)
- Degenerative conditions (Parkinson disease, etc.)
- Sensory processing disorders
- Pervasive developmental disorder (Autism)
- Psychomotor delay
- Organic syndromes (Down, Rett, William, Turner, Prader Willi, etc.)
- Traumatic injuries of the upper extremity
The personalized and specialized programs of the Ergotherapy Department, aim to:
- The education or retraining of the person in their self-service skills (transportation and moving, dressing, feeding, personal hygiene)
- Rough and delicate mobility skills development
- Social skills development
- Receptive and cognitive skills development
- The education or re-education in occupational skills.
Thus, the person’s and their family’s life quality improvement is accomplished as well as the increase of the person’s self- esteem. The person reaches the maximum possible functionality and autonomy, in all his life’s domains.
The Ergotherapy Department offers:
- Especially designed area, with full equipment for the training of self-care skills
- Complete anti weighing system of functional retraining of the upper extremity – Armeo Spring
- Biometrics P/C system, for the functional retraining of the upper extremity
- P/C system with biofeedback programs for the re-education of cognitive and receptive skills

- Light type wheel chairs with detachable arms – folding, for the use of patients and trainers
